Omar & Jane welcome you to Fifth Element Jewellers

Omar Trepat was born in Buenos Aires, where he lived until he was twenty two. He left Argentina for what he thought would be a short visit to Europe, but in fact he never returned to live there. After many years travelling in Asia where he met his English wife, they finally came back with their two children to settle in the UK. They fell in love with Totnes and have been here since 1998. In 2006 he bought Fifth Element.

Omar makes beautiful bespoke jewellery and specializes in creating new and modern pieces using the customers own unwanted gold. Of course he is equally happy to make any piece of jewellery using new metal., be that platinum, gold, silver or palladium. Almost everything is made on the premises and customers who are interested can go in and watch each stage in the production of their piece of jewellery, something rarely available in most high street jewellers.

Come and design your dream piece of jewellery. Omar is in the shop/workshop five days a week and is always ready to help you. His collection of both precious and semi precious stones and beads is vast, and prices are extremely competitive, as he and his wife travel frequently and source many of their stones in Asia.

Hi Omar, I just want to say how totally delighted we both are with the magnificent Silver & Diamond Torque Bracelets you make for us both. You understood & interpreted our briefs exquisitely & we wear them with pride & delight. Thank you for your creativity & unique flair. As you know, we travel miles to see you – because we know that whatever project we come to you with, the outcome will be delightful! In Gratitude x

Tessa & Andrew Kirby

Over the past 12 years, I have commissioned Omar to design and create 4 peices of jewellery. Each design captures the essence of ancient times and are uniquely inspired by his love and understanding of precious stones and metals, and by his natural flair and artistry as a jeweller.
